- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆AA took my L200 to Bridgnorth, our holiday destination, after a radiator failure and serious overheat on the motorway. Arch motors took it in the following morning and replaced the radiator but further tests showed up a fault, suspected head gasket or cracked cylinder head. Arch sent the head of for testing and skimming, fortunately only a head gasket. While all this was going on they loaned me free off charge a car so I could try and enjoy my vacation. They laid on extra staff on the Friday to finish the job as the head did not come back from the workshop in Telford till mid day Friday. Panic as we were going home that evening, Arch said if it was not finished I could take the loan car home , 130 miles, and they would meet me half way the following week to exchange cars. Phone call at 5.30pm, music to my ears, car is ready. The bill always a worry as I was dealing with a garage I had never dealt with before, but it seemed good value. Since my return I have spoken to my garage who have looked after my three family cars for the last 20 years and they confirmed Arch had followed the same procedure they would have and more to the point the cost was very, very competitive.
